About holography

The word «hologram» comes after two Greek words: «holos»- full and «grapho»- record. In other words a hologram – is a full three-dimensional image of a subject.

Holography – is a method of recording, reproduction and transformation of wave fields based on wave interference. This method was proposed by D.Gabor in 1948. The reference wave together with signal wave from the same light source are directed onto the photosensitive layer.

As a result of wave interference a pattern is generated containing the information about the object. The pattern is fixed on the photosensitive surface. It is a hologram. When the hologram or its part is illuminated by a signal wave there can be seen a volumetric image of the object.

Hologram – is a high-tech product, complex multilayered object which is one of the most reliable authentication products.
Holograms can not be reproduced or replicated by traditional methods.
